Most drainage packages stop at a centreline and a schedule. InfraGrid models the real thing: pipe barrel and wall thickness, bedding and surround, trench excavation, chamber walls, cover slabs and benching. That means the model you coordinate with is the model that gets built, not an abstraction you have to reinterpret on site.

Storm, foul, watermain, ducting and MV/LV all live in the same scene with the same coordinate system, so the clash you would otherwise find during construction shows up while you are still designing.

Gravity networks that respect the rules

Gravity services are laid as straight runs between chambers, with a chamber at every change of direction — the way adopting authorities expect. Default gradients follow common practice (1:100 storm, 1:80 foul) and you can override diameter, material or gradient per segment without rebuilding the run.

Cover depths, backdrop requirements and connection angles are checked as you draw, so a run that would fail an adoption review is flagged immediately rather than at submission.

Long sections and chamber details generated, not drafted

Every run has a live long section. Drag a vertical intersection point and the gradients, invert levels and cover levels update across the drawing set. Chamber elevations detect wall penetrations automatically for all four walls, or produce a developed view for circular chambers.

Export to PDF or DXF at 1:50, 1:100 or 1:200 when you need to issue, and push the coordinated geometry straight into Revit as native families.

Does this replace a hydraulic analysis package?

No — it feeds one. InfraGrid handles the geometric and constructability side of drainage design and exports the network as EPA SWMM nodes and conduits so your hydraulic model uses the same layout you drew.

Can I coordinate drainage against an architect or structural model?

Yes. Import IFC from Revit, ArchiCAD or Plant 3D and run clash detection against your pipe runs and chambers in the same browser session.

What level of detail do the underground services reach?

LOD 400+. Pipes carry real wall thickness, bedding and surround; chambers carry wall construction, cover slabs and located penetrations, which is what makes the quantities usable.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The modeller runs in the browser. The only optional install is the Revit plugin if you want live push and pull with a Revit model.
