InfraGrid models individual kerb units with joints, bedding and haunch geometry, plus every construction layer from formation to wearing course. Because the layers are real solids, material take-offs come from the model rather than a spreadsheet estimate.

Crossfalls are entered as ratios the way engineers write them, levels are held as real-world AOD, and superelevation transitions are generated on outer horizontal curves.

Junctions, widenings and priority geometry

Add bus stops, lay-bys, islands and localised widenings by chainage; transitions and tapers are calculated and stitched into the corridor. Edit an alignment and connected junction geometry regenerates down the chain instead of leaving you to patch each intersection by hand.

Raised tables, road surfacing zones and footway variants with flush kerbs are all parametric, so a late comment costs a parameter change rather than a redraw.

Drawings and markings from the same model

Cross sections and long sections are cut from the live model at any chainage, with DXF layer mapping ready for issue. Road markings — centre lines, arrows, hatching, zigzags, stop lines and freeform SVG shapes — are parametric and produce their own quantity take-offs.

Import survey as LAS/LAZ point clouds or CAD, drape the design onto existing ground, and check cut and fill before anything is committed.

Is this a Civil 3D replacement?

For corridor geometry, underground services and the drawings that come off them, it covers the same ground with far less setup — and it runs in a browser. Teams that still need Civil 3D for specific deliverables use InfraGrid alongside it and exchange via IFC, DXF or the Revit plugin.

How are levels handled?

All elevations are real-world AOD relative to the project origin, so survey, drainage inverts and road levels agree without manual offsets.

Can I model roads and drainage together?

Yes — they share one scene and one coordinate system, so gullies, laterals and chambers sit against the actual road surface and clash detection works across disciplines.

What hardware do I need?
